Saturday was a day to take off of work, to not work on any other projects around the house and get out. Get out of the house, out of the studio, out of work and just breathe for a bit. We went into Austin, so we decided to check out an old haunt of ours – Top Drawer Thrift. It's on Burnet Road, south of Koenig, and I love that area.
I can't believe it's been so long since we'd been there. They always have such fascinating stuff. I truly have missed checking out the Trannequins. It's the best thrift store ever. (Next to New rocks, too.) I had a blast just taking pictures. We are currently in the process of cleaning out stuff at home, so I didn't dare take anything else. (We have purchased plenty over the years.) But, I would encourage you to visit. And, while you're there, check out The Next to New Shop up the road. And then, you may as well have Torchy's Tacos while you're out. Just look for the billboard of hot sauce pouring onto the building – that's where you'll find it.
Enjoy the photos I took there. Maybe, go take some of your own.
Do you enjoy these? Why don't you take a trip for yourself, either here or to another get-out-of-the-house destination, and then tell me about it in the comments below. I'd love to hear from you.
